Teen Peacebuilders & Justice (PB&J) is a youth-led initiative to develop leadership, conflict resolution, and advocacy skills with teens.
Open to all middle & high school aged youth in the greater Winston-Salem area, PB&J meets monthly for connection, relationship building & circle discussions. The process allows for teens to connect with each other in a space of respect and value for everyone's voice.
PB&J is led by a team of youth leaders who have received training in restorative justice and help to plan, organize and lead the monthly circles.

The youth and their parent/guardian, the victim (when applicable and willing), and members of the community come together to address the impact of the incident. Trained peers and participants make decisions together as to how the youth should take responsibilty for their actions through a Repair Agreement that must be completed. Referrals come from schools, juvenile justice or the community.

Community Services

Community Circles

Community is at the core of restorative justice. Your voice is important in the justice process and it's important to shape Triad RJ's approaches in our community. During our Community Circles, you will meet with a group of others in the community to share your thoughts, ideas and concerns for developing community-based responses to concerns here in Forsyth County. The "Circle" is a process for group discussion that focuses on upholding the restorative justice values of respect and relationships, and also developing space for all voices to be heard. Learn more about Circles here.

Safer Together Initiative

Focusing on specific cluster of neighborhoods in east Winston-Salem, we are developing community circles for residents to share their thoughts, ideas and concerns for developing a community-based response to justice and conflict.
Discussion from the community circles will inform the development of circle discussions for law enforcement regarding resident concerns regarding cultural competency, bias and equity,

Restorative Dialogues

Restorative dialogues are for any group or individuals desiring a restorative approach to handling conflict or harm, including family, community, or work-based conflicts. A trained facilitator helps guide the discussion with a focus on addressing the harm that has occurred in the relationship, and working to make that a just and healthy relationship.
This is a fee-based program utilizing a pay-what-you-can model.
