Restorative Programs Associate, Bilingual
Triad Restorative Justice is looking for a compassionate and justice-oriented individual to provide administrative and program support to our Restorative Programs. Restorative Programs work with youth who are justice-involved through either the courts, schools, community or home. Applicants should have an ability to connect with youth and demonstrate a commitment to restorative justice values. This position will also provide Spanish language support and Hispanic/Latino representation in our programs.

HOURS AND SCHEDULE:
- 40 hrs/week, full time, non-exempt
- $24/hour
- Hours to include Tuesday and/or Wednesday evenings, Saturdays
- Paid Holidays and PTO
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Intake Coordinator
- Reaching out via mail and phone to families referred to our Restorative Programs
- Scheduling and conducting intakes with families/youth in a timely manner
- Determining appropriate program placement
- Complete all necessary data collection and paperwork
- Maintain intake reports in the Casebook data management software
- Communicate intake information with the appropriate Program Coordinator
- Volunteer Coordinator
- Assist with recruitment of potential volunteers
- Screen volunteers and check references
- Manage the onboarding and training of new volunteers
- Manage volunteer communication and appreciation efforts
- Support Restorative Program Activities (RESTART and Impact Circles)
- Connect with and develop trust-worthy relationships with the youth in the program
- Assist program coordinators
- Serve as program assistant with opportunities to facilitate for RESTART and/or Impact Circles as skills grow
- Provide intake and/or Impact Circle services for school-site referrals
- Help to coordinate logistics such as transportation and food
- Help to coordinate new ideas and initiatives to further support our youth (possibilities such as enrichment, mentoring, parent outreach, etc.)
- Spanish Language Support
- Translate organizational documents and materials into Spanish
- Provide interpretation for conversations or meetings with Spanish-speaking families
- Maintain communication with Spanish-speaking family/youth
- Share insight with Triad RJ staff regarding appropriate engagement with Spanish-speaking families, youth and others
- Participate in professional development as recommended and provided by the Executive Director
- Other tasks as assigned by Executive Director
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Fluent in English and Spanish (Latin American dialect)
- Associate’s Degree in a Human Services related field or a high school diploma with one year of human service experience
- Ability to connect with youth, especially in challenging circumstances
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- General computer knowledge
- Demonstrated commitment to values of restorative justice, equity, inclusiveness, teamwork
- Ability to work with diverse groups of stakeholders with a high degree of professionalism, while maintaining confidentiality
